toonz question

I would like to know if Toonz is vector-based or bitmap-based (like ToonBoom Studio) ?

Vector or both, but it's not quite like toonboom studio (more like usanimation or whatever it's called now, or so I imagine...)

They make a program that is a bit like that though, and I liked the demo, it's easier to make some types of things.
