Workshops for high school students

I am a high school student going into the eleventh grade and will be in the LA area August 18 to 31. If anyone knows any 3d workshops or anything else that involves computer graphics, please tell me. I really want to get going and get some training in this field. Thank you. :)

I'm not sure what they're schedules are like, but they may have some short term training programs at Gnomon. I've seen some of their DVD's, top notch, but I've never been to any of their classes. I've heard they're very good (if a bit expensive).

yes Gnomon does seem good but it looks like its a bit more for older people with more experience. But who knows maby Ill stop by in LA and get lucky.
