Here's a little "commercial" comic I did for one of my toon ideas. Every toon needs it's cleche big action star! I'm planing on animating this some time.

That comic is the cat's pyjama's! Love it. I reads very well and the designs are nice. Your colors are great too. Kudos!

these are great drawings. i really like the comic. it would be great to see that in a flash animated cartoon of some kind. but that would be a lot of work. haha, i like the monkey steering the elephant, too. good stuff. keep it up!

i'm actually planing on animating the comic. ever since i first drew it up, which was a while back but didn't have the pc or flash. hehe....i'm actually at standstill with things though, cause i've got about 4 other ideas wanting animated. many are the 7+ minute toon variety too. hehe.

Thanks. I owe great influence to my style to most all of Cartoon Network. I know Catbomb's a lil' Powerpuff-ish but it helps him be cute. Kinda like throwing Hello Kitty in a blender with Megaman and a Powerpuff. hehe

i put chuck jones,bob clampet,kaite rice,and (insert stylized cartoon here) in a blender and that my style. :D

i was always kinda partial to freleng myself.

i like freleng too in fact i like freleng more than bob clampet.Bob has a certain type of mouth he uses when his characters are angry where they show alot of gum.I like those mouths and have used them so that why i listed bob clampet.I really havent taken anything from freleng.(not ot say that i wont) :D

do you use a tablet or do you scan your drawings into a computer and then color them?

just playin' round again with Catbomb. And yes, the girl is supposed to look "battle of the planets". hehe. i also wanted to experiment more with "dry brushing"

very cool stuff. i think i like the one with the girl on the boat with the huge monster coming up from the sea. looks very dramatic. and i like the way the girl looks in that big brown coat. the only thing that looks kinda off is the placement of the cat. he kind of gets lost in the picture with the monster right behind him. i would try to make him stand out more. or just move him out to the other side maybe. but its really cool anyways.

Brien, i totally see what you mean now. I really wanted to try something different perspective wise for it. It was a challenge for me. getting the characters just right, so King Orca would really look massive. And being a cat, I figured Catbomb would probably spring into action from his comfy spot on the railing. You really brought to light something i'll be sure to watchout for in the future. Thanks! =)
