Sharc, I do not understand you and your posts. Do you really haev nothing better to do with your time than to go from forum to forum posting nonsense? How does this benefit you?

I suppose I am probably giving you your satisfaction by simply saying something about it at all. The best course of action is probably just to ignore it.

"Annoying are they who can post threads that catch the unsuspecting members' eye, for the attention they crave shall be bestowed upon them through the innocents' anger."

No sharc has ever seen its dorsal fin - woe is them for it's like wearing a funny hat one cannot take off. (Applause!)

oh dear, Wad, has my contribution made you weep?..tsk tsk, we cant have that..here, have a banana..

okay, here's a trivia question for you: what Disney short (heavily sanitized of course) is based on Bill Peet's short story "She's a WHAT?!?!"
(hint: the only music on the soundtrack is the sound of Frank Churchill occasionally hitting a marimba with something soft and fleshy)

too tough?..okay, another clue..it was on this film that the "polo players" started a whispering campaign about the "others", labelling them as 'a bunch of no good reds'.

still no guesses???..my oh my my my my my..I thought you guys were all animation aficionados, uber-disneyphiles...okay, I guess another hint is in order:

ward kimball and freddie moore had a topless thumb wrestling match to see who would get to animate the lead character on this film..the tussle lasted for 4 hours, finally broken up by an irate walt disney who gave the job to his pet, frank thomas (he'd squealed on everyone of course)

..well, that certainly wouldn't be YOU, Shuman old pal...we would never mistake your mediocrity for a sense of humour.

Hey there Chucky Fromage,

What a Whingdingdilly pile of threads you've left in your wake.

Nice to see such clever flotsam and jetsam here, something long missing from that boring Nation.

64' was a thorny year for sure.
Funny how that hooked pirate looks the spitting image of old Elias.

But me thinks it must be "The Pinkish, Purplish, Bluish Egg" as the answer to
that William Bartlett trivia you seek.

But then again you may be still begging Dora Diamant for inspiration, and then off under your bed to knit a fine skullcap from your gut button lint.

Keep those witty meanderings coming brother.
This is far funnier than any olive drab side topic about Roy's boys.

And Sharc's thinly-veiled sock puppet has the honor of becoming the second entry in my ignore list. It's that or fall into a coma from his dull drug-induced ramblings.

ahhh, at last a visit from the divine edgar!!..I'm glad to have you aboard, to help relieve the monotony from drab turds like Hardly Humourous (honest to betsy, is THIS really the future of animation?.uptight little pricks who want everything shut down and shut off??...gadzooks!)
..anyroad, you've come up zero with your guess..(thought for sure the clues would've been more than obvious for an old mule skinner like yourself)..here's another one:

you can still see a stain on the carpet at old Hyperion Studios from where T Hee "lost it" while viewing the leica reel of this short....happy guessing!!

Le Crash

An eclectic word maven you are sir.

I thought an interlude at this Cafe would prove more amusing than that other boring Laze Limbs bistro down the road.

Your trivial question is a bit odd. Your recollection of history a bit askew on treadle I believe.

I know old Thornton could barely keep his turgid giddiness tamed as he writhed under the Moviola ogling Freddie Moore "All the Cat's Join In" sketches that Uncle Walt tossed in the bin.

It may be Peed's "Chester the Worldly Pig" you refer to, but the two Frank's did not spin the Praxinoscope for a short on that story.

Maybe one of these funny young AWN members can root out the truth and soothe your furrowed pate.

sorry, oh rare and radiant maiden, once again you've hit a miss with your guesses...and yes, I'm frankly ollied that none of these young turks have been able to sift through the murk and come up a winner with it either..I was sure either Wobblejockey or Heavy Hemorrhoids would've come through with the right answer by now, they both seem so knowledgeable and all (or am I just easily impressed these days?)...sigh..I guess I must once again crack open the tickle trunk and bring forth another clew (I'd rather be cracking open a fine bottle of de Sade '53, but then again you know my weaknesses):

..it's rumoured that during a late night session on this film, two of the junior animators were initiated into "Ub's chub club"

..as for your comments about that "other" chat room, I think this one could use a little of that military discipline that queen carlotta metes out over there..the number of ne'er-do-wells and jackanapes that frivolously hop through here is truly appalling...I hear she's now instigating book burnings and a purge..bravo!
