Saw your post about RIT new digital graphics program. My daughter, Allison, will graduate in about 1.5 years from University of Cincinnati in Digital Arts. While Digital Arts is similar to your "new media" program in that it is very web oriented, there was some other aspects of digital arts given such as animation . She likes 3d animation and wants to pursue it.
My question is where she would be better off? Should she go to a school such as RIT or attend a more technical program such as Gnomon. Incidently, she is in the top 10-15% of her class. What is your honest suggestion in order to get strong 3d Skills? I think her eventual goal is to get an MFA in animation, but I think she needs strong skills in that area before she attempts that.
PS if you can email me your response, that would be great. I can't seem to post on these forums. My email address is
