Default Question about forensic animation training

I was looking at animation training for my daughter, especially in the graduate or certificate level. Most training falls into one of two categories:

1. Skills oriented training that aims to train for studios or design agencies or networks and

2. Experimental animation, which varies greatly and is very fine artsy.

I was wondering if there were any program in either US or Canada that not only teaches basic animation skills but also incorporates the possibility of training in an interdisciplinary field such as forensic animation or archeological animation etc.? I don't think that I have seen any program that emphasizes this.

I don't know of any animation program this is that specialized.

Most animation programs are designed to move students into the film or game industries but the skills learned in any descent computer animation course (modeling, texturing, animation, etc) would be essential for your daughter's interests.

It might be worth looking into a larger university that might have both fields of studies and major in one and minor in the other.

FYI, if she is looking to emulate what she sees on the television show Bones I would hate to crush her dreams but that is all Hollywood.

Good luck,

ed

Default Nope, she is looking for accident reconstruction and graphics presentations

Thanks, Ed, for the response.

No, she is looking for accident reconstruction and preparing graphics for expert testimony. She knows that there aren't any programs that specialize in it.She was just wondering if there were either a concentration or even a course or two offered anywhere? It seems quite unfathomable that no one anywhere in the world offers this.Maybe there is a lot of money for the first university that adopts such as program.
