The New Golden Globes Animation Category
Just saw CARS win the first Golden Globe for Animated Feature Film. This is definately overdue, but... is this going to be the new predictor for the Oscar? or are the Annies still it?
And hey, where's the category for Animated Short Film??

Meh. I have a feeling that the Golden Globes only started this category because it's now the "in thing" in Hollywood for celebrities to contribute voices to animated features. And even though the Oscars have celebrated animation since 1931, they're not much better.
Really, the Annie's are the only awards that know what anything is about in this industry. Praise from them means much more than any other award.

Nah...
Me myself and others were voting for happyfeet, that movie actually had more than just comedy, it told a true story. I was pretty bumbed out when they lost, but that's okay, Cars was good too.
BDW did you see how may celebrity fumbles was in this year's Golden Globe Award Show?
